A U head jack fits into the top of a cuplock standard or prop and provides the final fine adjustment of the formwork level. The U-shaped cradle holds the primary timber or steel beam securely and stops it rolling, while the threaded stem lets the carpenter set the soffit level accurately before the deck is laid.
